We are Shelby, Miranda, and Becky. From Salina, Kansas, population of around 46,000. Originally though, we are each from different backgrounds.

Shelby, founder of CKA, (yellow hat) started CKA with the passion carried over from her fierce activism and successful protests. She is 28 years old, mother, and strong advocate of Women’s rights.

Miranda, Co-founder of CKA, (mask over face) joined Shelby on the CKA train of growth and progressiveness with a sole mission to continue her path to courageous activism. She led a protest in 2020 for George Floyd that drew in over 350 protesters. Since then, she has been a strong ally and advocate ever since. Miranda is a strong human rights advocate but LGBTQIA+ rights are nearest and dearest to her heart. She is 38, also a mother.

Becky, joining as a Co- founder of CKA shortly after Miranda after showing her vocal outrage on the current administration, Showing pure dedication, passion, and resilience to social justice issues, was the perfect fit for the group. Becky, with the most interesting background of the group, comes from a fundamentalist, right-wing culture in the deep south. Escaping a Christian nationalist cult, and transforming into the human rights activist she is today. With a heart of gold and fluent in “MAGA”, don’t be fooled by her southern charm. She is a firecracker ready for action. Becky is 37, and has a passion for mothers, and women in general. Also a mom, raising her boys with the mindset, “don’t be a mediocre white man”.
