CKA PROTEST Post-Roe: 3 Years of KS Resistance, Still Fighting Fascism

8/2/25- 9th and Magnolia Intersection

Morning Protest: 9AM–12PM

Evening Protest: 6PM–9PM

Three years ago, Kansas made history. We stood up, fought back, and protected abortion rights in a state people love to underestimate. But we’re not naïve, we know all too well the fight didn’t end there. Post-Roe attacks haven’t slowed down. They’ve gotten worse. The fascists are loud, shameless, and relentless. So we’re meeting them with the same energy. On August 2nd, at 9th & Magnolia in Salina, we’re showing up again. Two protests, one day. Morning and night. This is part of 50501’s nationwide “Dare to Fight Fascism” movement with our Salina twist to recognize the three year anniversary of our Kansas win. Kansas is in this fight, and we’re not backing down.

Detention ≠ Torture: Protest & Candlelight Vigil

“Detention ≠ Torture” Protest & Candlelight Vigil

📍 9th & Magnolia • Salina, Kansas

🗓️ Friday, July 26

🕖 Protest: 7:00 PM

🕯️ Candlelight Vigil: 9:00–10:30 PM

We are taking to the streets to demand an end to the cruel, inhumane treatment of immigrants in detention centers across the country. Families are being separated. Children are suffering. People are dying in silence.

At 7PM, we protest loud, visible, and unapologetic.

At 9PM, we transition into a candlelight vigil to honor those who’ve been abused, neglected, or lost in detention. This is about remembrance, resistance, and the refusal to stay quiet.

Bring your signs, candles, and community. Some candles will be provided. Please bring water and sun protection.

We will not stop until every human being is treated with the dignity they deserve. Detention is not safety. Silence is not peace. And detention does NOT equal torture.

NO KINGS 2.0

Salina Indivisible will be hosting a protest that morning, we (CKA) will host ours that afternoon. While fireworks fly, we’ll be demanding true liberty for all, not just the privileged few. Bring signs, wear red/white/blue with a twist, and let’s remind the community what real patriotism looks like. Please be advised, the Granny Brigade does intend on protesting on the bridges that day and we fully anticipate their counter protests to make their way to us.
